It’s a start

I got online half an hour ago to find the best method of boiling eggs. Three books and two pair of shoes later, and here I am, setting up another website. I guess I’m finally over the trauma of completely redesigning a site for a high school club, trying to meet the site-functionality ideas (and demands) of the other parents while simultaneously adjusting to working full-time and teaching myself HTML. I’m still working full-time, but now I have the leisure of teaching myself things for the fun of it.

At the moment, it’s Italian. My original goal was to read Dante in the original, which sounded like a heck of a goal until I read a list of books recommended for people just beginning to learn Italian. Oh.

Now my goal is to be able to follow soccer commentary in Italian.

My favorite teams are actually FC Bayern München and the German National Team, but I also follow Juventus and, oh yeah, my first love was Arsenal, but we won’t get into that now.
